Parent-Pupil Education Program (PPEP)

The Parent-Pupil Education Program (PPEP) is a free statewide outreach program which serves families of children with visual impairments. The PPEP staff are visually impaired (VI) certified teachers who are located in different regions of the state to provide opportunities for families to learn about vision loss, educational options and resources.

These skilled professionals provide family-centered services to assist parents in enhancing natural interaction with their child. Families are offered instruction, information and support to assist them in meeting the unique needs of their child, and activities are included that help each child meet developmental milestones.
