The LSVI Library has a collection to meet the needs and interests of its students and staff. The collection includes the latest in juvenile Braille, print/Braille and recorded books published by the Library of Congress. Tactile and scratch 'n' sniff books are also available, as are Braille and large print magazines, newspapers and storybooks on cassette tapes.

A collection of stuffed animals and artifacts are displayed to provide a hands-on approach to learning
about animals. The display is provided and maintained by the Central Louisiana
chapter of
Safari Club International. The exhibit is open to
the public. School groups or other interested groups can contact the librarian to arrange
a visit.
