Braille Challenge Results
On February 24, 2010 students from across Louisiana participated in the annual Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired (LSVI) Braille Challenge. The students competed in various categories that highlighted their Braille skills. Competition included reading comprehension, proofreading, speed and accuracy, and graphs and charts.
In the Varsity division, the results were:
- First Place: Brittany Scott
- Second Place: Emily Weidner
- Third Place: A tie!! - Amber Meaux and Crystal Benoit
Junior Varsity division results were:
- First Place: Rasheeta Williams
- Second Place: William Carr
- Third Place: Samantha Harrell
Sophomore division results:
- First Place: Megan Peoples
- Second Place: Morgan Peoples
Freshman division results:
- First Place: Christy Grant
- Second Place: Elijah Gordon
- Third Place: Joseph Anthony
Apprentice division results:
- First Place: Donavan Chasson
- Second Place: Alexandra Turner
